MONTFORT WINS REGIONAL ETHICS BOWL

The Montfort Academy is pleased to announce that a team of five Montfort Knights placed first in the NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ETHICS BOWL Regional Competition at Manhattanville College on Saturday, February 8, 2020, after having won all three primary rounds, the semi-finals and ultimately defeating Burke Academy in the finals.  This win qualifies them to compete at the State Competition in a few weeks time. In addition to placing first, this team received the Judge's Award for most points received.  Congratulations to seniors Sydney Ferreira, Gabrielle Margand, Marcela Lara, Vincent Macias, and Tanya Porcari for their outstanding performances, and to our coaches Steven Merola and William Nolan.

Congratulations also to our junior team of four Knights who won two of their three rounds, delivering a strong performance in their first year of competition.  These Knights include juniors Claudia Greco and Stephanie Spruck and sophomores Maya Bochnik and Madison Maier.  We look forward to watching them lead our Montfort team in future Ethics Bowls.
