BRONX RIVER CLEAN UP - WEEK ONE

Twelve Montfort students worked with Erin Cordiner of @WestchesterParksFoundation to sort through and catalogue the garbage accumulating at the boom located in the Bronx River just north of the Crestwood Train Station. They cleared away water bottles, styrofoam pieces, plastic bags, nerf darts, tennis balls, cigarette butts and more. The data collected will be used to identify sources of garbage in the hope of reducing it before it gets into the environment.

Today was a job well done!
