Montfort Freshmen design and professionally print their own Christmas cards
The 9th grade Art History Class designed and produced their own Christmas cards for family and friends. Each student chose an image of the Blessed Mother and, inspired by the image, reproduced it in oils, acrylics, tempera (that they mixed on their using egg yolks and pigments from Italy), pencil, or watercolors on thick artists’ paper that was imported from France. Each Christmas card was engraved on the back with a personal greeting written by the student or from Holy Scripture along with a brief description of the art and the student artists. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
